DECORATION HIRE T&C'S
To take the stress out of your wedding decoration hire StarChar Ltd offers two simple packages, a delivery and set-up service or a 4-day hire option. All goods supplied by StarChar Ltd are on a hire only basis. Please see below for further details. If you would like to discuss any of my services further, please do get in touch.
DELIVERY & SET UP SERVICE - HOW IT WORKS:
The delivery and set up service is highly recommended, it provides the best possible hire rates and takes away the worry and stress, particularly when hiring some of the bigger items and displays. StarChar will deliver the items for you, set them up and collect the following day. All you need to do is simply choose your items for hire, submit your order detailing the venue address for delivery charges to be quoted, and I will respond with a booking form together to secure your wedding date.
Please note there is a £250.00 minimum spend for this service.
A 50% deposit is payable to secure your date, the deposit is non-refundable and will be deducted from your final invoice. All invoices must be settled in full via direct bank transfer 21 days prior to your wedding date. Deliveries will not be made without receipt of the full cleared balance. Note - your deposit acts to secure your date and items, the booking is not confirmed until full payment is received.
A damages deposit will also be payable with your final invoice settlement, please see "Damages Deposits" below for further details.
If the full balance payment is not received 21 days prior to your wedding date, StarChar Ltd reserves the right to withdraw your order and no deliveries will be made.
4-DAY HIRE SERVICE - HOW IT WORKS:
The 4-day hire service allows you to collect and drop off the hire items at your leisure within the 4-day timeframe agreed with StarChar. A 50% deposit is payable to secure your booking, which is non-refundable and will be deducted from your final invoice.
The full balance is due 21 days prior to collection. A damages deposit will also be payable with your final invoice settlement, please see "Damages Deposits" below.
If the full balance payment is not received 21 days prior to your wedding date, StarChar Ltd reserves the right to withdraw your order and release the items to new bookings.
Hire goods remain the responsibility of the person who places the order until they have been collected or delivered back to StarChar Ltd. Any damages that may occur to hire items, irrespective of who damages them, remain the bookers responsibility to replace or cover any damages. For this reason it is always highly recommended that items are not left unattended after the wedding. All hire goods are to be returned in their original condition. For stress free hiring, perhaps StarChar's delivery and set up option is best for you.
CHANGES TO BOOKING
Please ensure all changes are made within plenty of time to avoid disappointment.
- Changes by the client 1+ month prior to date of wedding - you can add or remove items to your order (subject to their availability).
- Changes by the client within 1 month of wedding, you may be able to exchange your items at the discretion of StarChar (subject to availability) but items cannot be removed, your remaining balance payment as detailed on the invoice will apply.
If a cancellation occurs booking deposits are non-refundable.
- Cancellations 1+ month prior to date of booking - No charges will be applicable.
- Cancellations less than 1 month prior to date of booking - 100% of the booking total will be charged.
StarChar Ltd will not be responsible for any injury or damage to persons or property arising from the use of any goods under hire from StarChar Ltd. StarChar Ltd reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any time.
MISLAID & MISSING ITEMS
Items that cannot be found when collecting after the wedding are the responsibility of the hirer to return them to StarChar Ltd. Sometimes items mistakenly get picked up by a family member or another supplier so we have given a 14 day timeframe for items to be returned after the wedding date.
If the items are not returned within 14 days a fee will be charged and deducted off your "Payment protection deposit". The value of the items that you hire will be clearly shown on your invoice for your visibility should this situation arise.
Damage deposits are payable against all hire bookings, inclusive of any collection orders and is payable with the final invoice payment.
The damages deposit is kept separately to your invoice payment and returned to your nominated bank account within 21 days once the hired items have been checked and returned safely.
The damages deposit depends on the value of your invoice and is structured as below:
- Invoices under £200.00 will be required to pay a £50.00 damage protection deposit
- Invoices over £200.00 but under £400.00 will be required to pay a £100.00 damage protection deposit.
- Invoices above £400.00 will required to pay a £200.00 damage protection deposit.
Whilst your deposit payment acts to secure your date and items with StarChar Ltd, the booking is not complete until the full balance is paid. The final balance is due 21-days prior to the event date.
Payment methods are to be made by direct bank transfer only. If the balance payment is not received 21 days prior to the event StarChar Ltd reserves the right to withdraw the acceptance of your order and no delivery will be made without receipt of the cleared balance within this timeframe.
StarChar Ltd reserves the right to take photographs of hired items in situ at your wedding venue for use across Social Media after the wedding day. Photographs of this nature will not be of any guests. We may also show the first names of the bride & groom, the wedding date and venue name on Social Media and on the StarChar Ltd website portfolio and blog. Please contact me if you would prefer images are not used across StarChar's social media platforms.
